John Constantine: Hellblazer V1 (2020)

The second year of the Sandman Universe begins with the long-awaited arrival of one of DC’s most iconic characters…John Constantine, Hellblazer! John Constantine is back in London, back to his old tricks-and just in time, as things have become very dark indeed in his old stomping grounds.

The Dark Crystal (1983)

The Dark Crystal was adapted into comic book form by Marvel Comics. It debuted as a 68 page adaptation in Marvel Super Special #24, in 1982. The story was later re-printed in two issues in April and May, 1983.

This was the first of three Marvel adaptations of Jim Henson movies; it was followed by The Muppets Take Manhattan in 1984, and Labyrinth in 1986.

The Magic Order 2 (2022)

This time the story moves to England and the London chapter of The Magic Order, tough Guy Ritchie-style gangsters who have a problem with some Eastern European Warlocks moving into their territory in a magical turf war like you’ve never seen before. Can Cordelia Moonstone, the new leader of the group, keep the peace?

Indiana Jones: Thunder in the Orient (1993)

Indiana is called away from a dig in Lebanon to visit India where his friend Sophia Hapgood has discovered what she believes to be clues that could lead to the Covenant of Buddha, the original writings and precepts of Buddha in his own words. Legend tells that the Covenant holds a great and mystical power that was hidden away to prevent it getting into the wrong hands. As Indy and Sophia muse about this legendary treasure they realize another unforeseen power; the unification of the thousands of Asia‘s Buddhists under one precept. Another group seeks to claim this power, the Empire of Japan who see it as a way to control the countries they are currently invading pre-World War II. This leads Indy, Sophia, and the Japanese on a desperate chase across Asia that leads into the depths of Afghanistan to the heights of the legendary Shangri-La through disputed parts of China.

 

Avengers V3 (1998)

After the Heroes Reborn series concluded, the Avengers comic was restarted with vol. 3 #1 written by Kurt Busiek and pencilled by George Pérez. New members during this run included the revived Wonder Man, JusticeFirestarSilverclaw, and Triathlon. The Avengers fought many of their traditional villains such as the Grim Reaper, Ultron, Count Nefaria, and Kang the Conqueror. The limited series Avengers Forever, starting during this period, was a time travel story that explored the history of the Avengers and resolved many outstanding questions about Kang and Immortus’s past manipulations of the team, featuring various Avengers from the past, present and possible futures working alongside Kang the Conqueror and Rick Jones as part of Kang’s attempt to escape his perceived ‘destiny’ as Immortus.

Gear Station (2000)

Darwin, half human half fairy, who’s attitude gets her in a spot of trouble.

Avengers V1 (1990’s)

At this point, ongoing storylines and character development focused on the Black Knight, SersiCrystal, Hercules, the Vision, and the Black Widow. Their primary antagonists in this run were the mysterious Proctor and his team of other-dimensional Avengers known as the Gatherers. During this period, the Avengers found themselves facing increasingly murderous enemies and were forced to question their rule against killing.[109]

This culminated in “Operation: Galactic Storm“, a 19-part storyline that ran through all Avengers-related titles and showcased a conflict between the Kree and the Shi’ar Empire. The team split when Iron Man and several dissidents executed the Supreme Intelligence against the wishes of Captain America. After a vote disbanded the West Coast Avengers, Iron Man formed a proactive and aggressive team called Force Works. During the team’s first mission, Wonder Man was killed again, though his atoms were temporarily scattered. Force Works later disbanded after it was revealed that Iron Man became a murderer via the manipulations of the villain Kang, the same storyline seeing Iron Man sacrificing himself and being replaced by his teenage counterpart from a parallel timeline.

Magic the Gathering: Fallen Empires (1995)

This 2-part mini-series focuses on the events hinted at in Wizards of the Coast’s Fallen Empire cards. All the drama and tragedy caused by the coming ice age will be dramatically told by the editorial team that brought you the hit Shadow Mage and Ice Age Armada series. The story takes place between the Urza/Mishra war set forth in Antiquities and the story now being told in Ice Age. The plot is officially sanctioned by Wizards of the Coast and makes an excellent precursor to the Ice Age mini-series.

X-Men Red (2018)

X-Men Red is a sister book to X-Men Gold and X-Men Blue, which began ten months earlier. It follows events from the December 2017 miniseries Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey written by Matthew Rosenberg and illustrated by Leinil Francis YuThe first issue, released February 7, 2018, was written by Tom Taylor and illustrated by Mahmud Asrar. It was available in ten different variant covers. Taylor’s initial plans for the series did not involve any crossovers with other comic series. The series was promoted as part of Marvel’s “Fresh Start“, a full company relaunch of publications. 

MIddlewest (2018)
