In 2004, Marvel Comics held a fifth-week event called “Marvel Knights 2099”, which took place in the future on an alternate world (Earth-2992) that was not identical to the alternate Marvel Universe on Earth-928 featured in the 1990s Marvel 2099 books.
Realizing her secret identity is intact in this dimension, Gwen decides to attend college peacefully on Earth-616 without worrying about villains attacking. With Peter’s help, she enrolls in Empire State University, explaining to school admissions that she comes from another dimension. This, along with her test records and Parker vouching for her, earns Gwen enrollment and a scholarship that applies to visitors from other worlds and dimensions. Gwen begins regularly attending classes while “commuting” back and forth from her own Earth, regularly encountering Peter. In costume, she fights menaces on both worlds, including Miles Warren, whose unhealthy obsession with the Earth-616 Gwen Stacy led to his becoming the villainous Jackal.
Return of Wolverine is a 2018 miniseries published by Marvel Comics. This miniseries is a continuation on the events that transpired in the “Death of Wolverine” and “Hunt for Wolverine” storylines, and explains how Wolverine returned from the dead. As a follow-up to the “Hunt for Wolverine” storyline, Marvel released this five-part mini-series to precede a new “Wolverine” comic series.
Adrift in the Void, Thor reflects upon the many adventures he has had, notably those that involve his fellow Asgardians, Sif and the Warriors Three. Suddenly, Thor feels a strong summoning and is surprised to discover that it comes from Doctor Donald Blake, the late physician who was once host to the power and essence of Thor. Don tells him that he has more experience with understanding the afterlife than Thor does, and encourages him to return to the world of the living. He tells him that the fate of Midgard is in great peril if he fails to return. Thor battles through a host of ethereal demons before accepting his role as a Child of Mjolnir. With the hammer once more in his possession, Thor announces that he wishes to return.

X-Men: Alpha was published in January, 1995, and launched the “Age of Apocalypse” crossover story. It briefly shows readers how many popular X-Men characters have changed in this new world. Bishop is reunited with Magneto while retaining fragmented memories of the true timeline. Magneto then assigns his X-Men and their allies with different missions. Some are to gather the forces needed to change history; while others will continue resisting Apocalypse. The story continues in eight interlocking miniseries, each focusing on a different team of X-Men or other mutant forces. Each miniseries temporarily replaced one of the monthly X-Men titles being published at the time.
The final part of the event, X-Men Omega, begins with Magneto battling Apocalypse. The remaining X-Men invade Apocalypse’s stronghold using Blink’s teleportation and capture the Beast. Meanwhile, the Angel, no longer trusted by Apocalypse, decides to switch sides and, after fighting off the Infinites, sacrifices himself by flying into Apocalypse’s force field generator and destroying it. This allows Nate Grey to enter Apocalypse’s citadel. As the nuclear attack wipes out half of Apocalypse’s western kingdom, he decides to kill Magneto. However Nate arrives and, along with Magneto, prepares to battle Apocalypse and Holocaust.

The series centers on the fictional British government agency MI: 13, which is dedicated to protecting the United Kingdom from supernatural threats. The main strikeforce is led by the superhero Captain Britain (Brian Braddock), and consists of various Marvel Comics characters that are of British descent or have a connection to the country. The series launched as a tie-in to the Secret Invasion event in May 2008 and ceased publication with issue #15.
